Family Tree Registry - User Registration

Before you can register a family tree, you must create an account. This is completely free, and the only information you are required to provide is a username and password. If you already have an account, please go back and login at the bottom of the search page.

User Registration

Username
Choose a username 3-14 characters long, using only letters and numbers.

Password Retype Password
Choose a password 5-12 characters long. Case sensitive ("A" and "a" are different).

[Optional] Email Address Retype Email Address
Your email address will not appear in the Registry, unless you specifically indicate that you want it to. If you want to be contacted about a family tree you have registered (for example, by someone researching surnames that appear on it), we need your email address to send you the contact message. By default, this is done anonymously, without the person who is trying to contact you seeing your email address. Also, if you forget your password, we can send you a new one only if you have supplied an email address.

[Optional] How do you want to be credited?
For each family tree you register, you will have the option of being credited publicly as the source. For example, if you represent a genealogical organization, you can have the name of the organization listed. Your credit can be up to 100 characters long.
