The correct URL to use when linking to the Family Tree Registry is http://www.familytreeregistry.org. Note that this is .org, not .com.
You can allow your visitors to search for surnames at the Registry from your site by linking to http://www.familytreeregistry.org/index.php?gsurname=X, where X is a surname or a surname preceded by "like " (which forces a sounds like search; otherwise, searching is exact). This functionality is also provided by our Google Toolbar button.
